Load shedding বা বৈদ্যুতিক সরবরাহে বিঘ্নতা আমাদের দেশের অন্যতম পরিচিত এবং প্রধান একটি সমস্যা। যার পেছনে অন্যতম প্রধান কারণ হল পর্যাপ্ত বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন করতে না পারা। এছাড়াও উৎপাদিত বিদ্যুতের যথাযথ সরবারাহে প্রাযুক্তিক ত্রুটি, বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবহারে মানুষের মাঝে সচেতনতার অভাব, অবৈধ সংযোগ ইত্যাদি।

এই সমস্যাটি বিগত ১০ বছরে অনেকটাই কমে আসলেও এখনো অবৈধ সংযোগ, সিস্টেম লস সহ নানা বিধ কারণে দেশের সব ঘরে বিদ্যুৎ পৌঁছে দেয়া সম্ভব হয় নি। 

শহর বা মফস্বলের বাহিরে অধিকাংশ গ্রামে বিদ্যুতের লাইন পৌঁছে গেলেও দেশব্যাপী নিরবিচ্ছিন্ন বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ নিশ্চিত করা সম্ভব হয়ে উঠে নি। এজন্য জনগনের মাঝে বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবহারে দায়িত্বজ্ঞান সম্পন্ন আচরণ, সরকারের উচিৎ অবৈধ সংযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন করা, এ ব্যাপারে কঠোর অবস্থান গ্রহণ করা এবং এর পাশাপাশি নবায়নযোগ্য বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের দিকে মনোনিবেশ করা,।

Constructing sustainable and renewable energy-based power plants, taking strict actions against illegal power connections, and correcting the system loss can help better the situation greatly.

Load-shedding

Load-shedding refers to the temporary interruption of electrical supplies on particular lines. It occurs for a variety of reasons. The main reason for load-shedding is a lack of generation capacity in comparison to demand. Another reason is the irresponsible use of electricity. Load shedding is also caused by an unauthorized power connection. It has a significant negative impact on our country's socio-economic growth. Production in mills and factories declines without the power they needed to give the optimum output. Fresh goods stored in the refrigerator often get spoiled. Load-shedding at night encourages individuals to engage in violent behavior. Not only that, but it also interferes with pupils' studies. Even hospital operations are halted as a result of it. In recent years, this problem has already seemed to decrease as more power plants have been built in the last decade. The added power to the national grid, usages of solar panels, replacing the tungsten bulbs with energy-saving lights on a mass scale, and the awareness among the people when using electricity has changed the scenario already. Still, authorities have the opportunity to better the situation by taking strict action against illegal power connections and correcting system loss. Load shedding, after all, has an economic impact on our country. As a result, it must be stopped. The government needs to take effective measures to address this issue. More sustainable and renewable energy-based power plants need to be built if it is necessary. Illegal connections and system loss should also be halted immediately for ensuring the supply of the available electricity to the maximum amount of houses possible in our country.
