বিগত শতাব্দীতে মানবসভ্যতার যোগাযোগে অবিস্মরণীয় উতকর্ষতা সাধিত হয়েছে। যার মাঝে যান্ত্রিক বাহন, বিমান, রেডিও, টেলিভিশন, ফ্যাক্স, টেলিফোন এবং সর্বশেষ ইন্টারনেট এদের মাঝে অন্যতম। তবে মানুষের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে আমূল পরিবর্তন তৈরি করে দিয়েছে মোবাইল ফোনের আবিষ্কার। যা মূলত তার বিহীন টেলিফোনের পরবর্তী সংস্করণ।  এই মোবাইল ফোনের সঙ্গে ইন্টারনেট সুবিধা যুক্ত করে পরবর্তীতে পরিণত হয়েছে স্মার্টফোন যা কিনা আমাদের  হাতের মুঠোয় কম্পিউটারের ক্ষমতাকে ব্যবহারের সুযোগ করে দিয়েছে। এই যন্ত্রের সুবিধা- অসুবিধা দুটো দিক থাকলেও মানবজীবনে যোগাযোগ এবং মানবসভ্যতায় যোগাযোগ প্রযুক্তির ক্ষেত্রে এই আবিষ্কারের অবদান অনস্বীকার্য।

The mobile phone is a technological marvel. It has given our communications a new dimension. It is a fantastic piece of information technology. It is a wireless phone that allows us to communicate and connect to people in the smallest amount of time. These devices use radio signals to communicate with other networking devices.  Before the invention of the mobile phone, communication and the messaging system were extremely difficult. However, the upgraded version of cell phones, also known as smartphones has reduced the world's distance. Because of its reasonable size, it can be carried by anyone. As a result, it has transformed the world into a global village. It is a practical and exciting topic that includes a messaging and internet system. A mobile phone device can be used to capture photographs, browse the internet, watch digital movies, manage global files, etc. A modern mobile phone set is, in fact, a mini-computer. All of these features have contributed to its popularity among consumers. Though it was once considered a symbol of aristocracy, it is today found in the palms of all world citizens. However, a mobile phone has certain drawbacks for all of its benefits. It is harmful to our health. When we talk through it, it affects our brain. The harmful blue light emitted from the screen can damage our eyesight. Excessive usage of mobile phones can result in fatal diseases such as brain tumors, cancer, etc. As a result, we must exercise caution when using it. Nonetheless, we can state that it has made our lives more relaxing and comfortable. Though it has some flaws, it is unquestionably a gift to modern living.
