আমাদের দেশে উষ্ণ পানীয় হিসেবে চা পান করার ব্যপারটি যেমনভাবে জনপ্রিয়, ঠিক তেমনি এই পানীয় পানের ক্ষেত্রে এদেশের মানুষের একটি অভ্যস্থতার বিষয়ও ব্যপকভাবে জড়িত রয়েছে। যার ফলে চায়ের দোকান এদেশের প্রায় সকলের কাছেই পরিচিত একটি নাম এবং যা দেশের প্রায় সর্বোত্রই দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।

টি-স্টল বা চায়ের দোকানগুলোতে মূলত চা- কফি বা এর আনুসঙ্গিক রুটি-কলা-কেক-পান ইত্যাদি বিক্রয় করা হয়ে থাকলেও, সামাজিক প্রেক্ষাপট এবং প্রান্তিক সমাজে চা এর দোকান শুধুমাত্র দোকান হিসেবে ব্যবহারের চেয়েও মানুষের আড্ডা, আলোচনা, অবসর সময়ে বন্ধুবান্ধবদের সঙ্গে সময় কাটানোর জায়গা হিসেবেই বেশি ব্যবহৃত হতে দেখা যায়।

এদেশের প্রায় সকল স্থানেই এমন দোকানের দেখা মেলে, বিশেষত বাজারে, রাস্তার পাশে, অফিস- শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান সংলগ্ন এলাকায়, বাস টার্মিনাল, লঞ্চ/ ফেরি ঘাট কিংবা রেলস্টেশনের মতো জনসমাগম আছে এমন নানা স্থানে এমন অসংখ্য দোকানের দেখা পাওয়া যায়।

চা এর পাশাপাশি কফি, বিস্কিট, কেক, কলা, পান ইত্যাদি বিক্রি করা হয়ে থাকে।

সাধারণত এমন দোকান গুলো খুব সকালে বা ভোর বেলায় খোলা হয় এবং রাত বা মাঝ রাত পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকে।

এধরনের দোকানগুলোতে লোকসমাগম বেশি হবার ফলে সাধারণত কোলাহল পূর্ণ এবং জাঁকজমক পরিবেশ বিদ্যমান থাকে।

সকল শ্রেনী পেশার মানুষ এধরনের দোকানে এসে দৈনন্দিন এবং গতানুগতিক নানা ধরনের সামাজিক এবং রাজনৈতিক বিষয়সহ; নিজেদের সুখ- দুঃখের কথাবার্তা নিজেদের মতো করে প্রকাশ করে থাকে। যা কিনা প্রান্তিক পর্যায়ে মানুষের মাঝে একধরনের মতপ্রকাশের সুযোগ তৈরি করার পাশাপাশি নিজেদের অবসর সময়কে নিজেদের মতো করে ব্যবহার করার সুযোগ করে দেয়।    

Tea Stall

Tea is one of the most popular hot drinks all around the world. The people of our country are enjoying drinking tea after the British colonizer introduced this drinking item to the people of this land. Since then, tea has been a part of this country's people's day-to-day lives. As a result, a tea stall is a familiar place for people of all socioeconomic backgrounds in any part of our country. A tea stall is a small shop where people can order and get tea. It is commonly found on the side of the road, in marketplaces, stations, terminals, launch terminals, or ferry ghats. Almost everyone is known to it. Besides tea and coffee, this shop sells cookies, cakes, bread, betel leaves, etc. It usually opens in the early morning and closes late at night. It does not always appear to be well-equipped. There are no chairs in some stalls. However, there are benches to sit on. A tea stall is often divided into two sections. They are often furnished with chairs, tables, and display cases in the front section. While the kitchen is located opposite the room. A young man is often seen working at such a tea stall. Sometimes the owner serves as both. A stall can be thought of as the villagers' tiny Sangsad. People from many walks of life congregate here. They take a break with a cup of tea and talk about politics and various social issues. As a result, a tea stall is a loud, chaotic, crowded, untidy, and busy environment for most people. A TV set was recently noticed in a tea stall in towns and villages. It is a place where people can express their joys and sorrows from day-to-day life. Its importance cannot be overstated. A tea stall is a gathering place for all kinds of people. It can play an essential role in making people aware of the importance of enjoying their free time. A tea stall should be kept neat and hygienic to be a healthy place for the people visiting it for having a nice cup of warm tea.
