Tree Plantation বা বৃক্ষরোপণ বলতে পরিকল্পিত উপায়ে গাছ রোপণ করাকে বোঝায়। প্রাকৃতিক ভারসাম্য স্বাভাবিক রাখতে এবং প্রানীকূলের বৈচিত্র বজায় রাখতে গাছের বিকল্প নেই। গাছ আমাদের নানা ধরণের উপকরণ সরবরাহের পাশাপাশি বৈশ্বিক ভারসাম্য রক্ষায় নীরবে কাজ করে যায়। জনসংখ্যা বৃদ্ধির সাথে সাথে বেড়ে চলা বর্ধিত প্রয়োজন মেটাতে যেয়ে বনাঞ্চল উজাড় হচ্ছে, গাছ কাটা পড়ছে। সেই ঘাটতি পূরণের জন্য প্রয়োজন পরিকল্পনা মাফিক বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি, যাতে প্রাকৃতিক এবং বৈশ্বিক ভারসাম্যকে স্বাভাবিক রাখা যায়।

বর্তমানে Deforestration বা বৃক্ষরোধনের প্রভাব সারা বিশ্ব জুড়েই দেখা যাচ্ছে, ফলে বৃক্ষরোপণ এর উদ্দ্যোগ এবং প্রয়োজনীয়তাও বৈশ্বিকভাবেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠেছে।

আমরা অক্সিজেন পাই, কাঠ, ফুল, ফল ইত্যাদি পাই; যা আসবাবপত্র, খাদ্য, জ্বালানি হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে। এমনকি নানা ধরণের গাছের ফুল, ফল, পাতা, রস, নির্যাস থেকে ঔষুধ তৈরি করা হয়ে থাকে।

পরিত্যাক্ত জমি বা অনুর্বর জমি, বসতবাড়ির পাশে ফাঁকা স্থানে, রাস্তার পাশে, রেল লাইনের দুই ধারে পরিকল্পিত পদ্ধতিতে বৃক্ষ রোপণ করা যায়। 

Tree plantation 

Tree plantation refers to the act of planting trees in a planned way. This is an integral element of human lives as well as the ecosystem. We can't possibly imagine our lives without the tree. However, the ever-increasing population is causing damage to the vegetation. More food, more shelter, and more items are required as the population grows. So trees are being cut down to suit these demands. Trees are essential for maintaining an ecological balance on this planet. Natural disasters, drought, soil erosion, global warming, among many other negative consequences, resulting from the absence of trees. We receive a lot of stuff from trees. We consume oxygen, which is provided by trees. Trees produce resources like timber, wood, which are essential for making furniture, shades; medicine from extracts obtained from various trees, flowers or leaves, and so on. Trees help to keep global temperatures down to a considerable level. To maintain the earth calm and pleasant, we must keep our world forested. A country's total land area must include at least 25% forest area. If we do not become conscious of it now, our children and grandchildren will face environmental damage. Diseases of various forms may also occur. Our unproductive area can be used for planting trees. For example, our house, the sides of highways and railway, unfertilized land, and so on. Both the government and the general public should take appropriate actions to enhance the rate of tree planting. We need to plant more trees to help rescue the world.
